http://thepandachef.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
I don't only eat bamboos. Saturday, September 18, 2010. Nanxiang Steamed Bun Restaurant. Tried Din Tai Fung? Tried Nanxiang Steamed Bun? Nope Finally, i get a chance to try this Shanghai restaurant which is supposed to be popular for their xiao long baos and hand-pulled noodles. However, no xiao long bao this time, as we all weren't that hungry, so we tried their staple dishes instead. Shanghai wanton noodle soup - Generally not bad, but i still prefer the HK wantons with big prawns inside. Nanxiang Stea...

The Panda Chef: 2 Fat Men
http://thepandachef.blogspot.com/2011/09/2-fat-men.html
I don't only eat bamboos. Wednesday, September 21, 2011. Big Apple mocktail (apple juice lemon juice mint) ($4). Yum Ma Ma salad (or somthing like that) ($5). Basil chicken fried rice (approx $6.90). One of the recommended dishes from food bloggers, i was a little disappointed as i felt that it tastes like a normal fried rice which you get at cze char stalls and does not have as much. As i expected and slightly oily. But generally, a better alternative than plain rice, which i don't think they have.

I don't only eat bamboos. Sunday, May 29, 2011. Tandoor North Indian Restaurant. Not exactly a die0hard fan of Indian cuisine, I would have never known about the existence of this restaurant if not for the popular deal.com website, in which i saw a $50 voucher for Tandoor going at 50% discount. After reading a few reviews online commenting that this place is not too bad, i bought the voucher and went ahead to give this place a shot. A posh Indian restaurant. Thali rice items at a glance, consisting of:.

The Panda Chef: June 2011

I don't only eat bamboos. Sunday, June 26, 2011. The only carrot cake stall i heard of in SG which cooks their carrot cake with ikan bilis. The pau stall is just next to the coffeeshop which we had the carrot cake, and there was a short but never-ending queue for it. Vegetable pau (60 cents) - a little too small for the price, but the pau skin was pretty nice. The filling was a little salty, and had too little turnip for my liking (yes, i like mine stuffed with turnip strips ONLY). Claypot bak kut teh (p...

When there's spare time, ready ingredients, why not shake up those lazy bones to indulge yourself. Thursday, October 7, 2010. 梅菜扣肉 Braised Pork Belly with Preserved Vegetable. When I came home last night, planning to just cook a simple aglio olio pasta for dinner, I saw some pre-packed preserved vegetables that Ade had brought back from Taiwan and I knew that I have some pork belly lying in the freezer that I intended to roast. So why not 梅菜扣肉 (braise the pork belly with preserved vegetable)? 3) Heat up ...
