Art From My Table: More Art

http://artfrommytable.blogspot.com/p/more-art.html

Art From My Table. A place of inspiration from my table to yours. Here is the advent calendar we are doing this year. I've made a list of 24 activities to do for our countdown. This calendar is made out of a mini muffin tin. The days have magnets on the back to hold them into place where our activity awaits. Our list for this year is as follows:. Put up a nativity set. Read a story by the tree with only tree lights on. Family photo shoot (taking fun pictures of ourselves). Color a christmas picture.

Art From My Table: March 2014

http://artfrommytable.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html

Art From My Table. A place of inspiration from my table to yours. Sunday, March 30, 2014. For Christmas this year, we gave the kids pre-planned dates for the whole year. They each get to go on a date once a month. One month with Mom, the next with Dad, and so on. This is by far their favorite gift. And it's the gift that keeps on giving, right? I mean, really, what 9 yr. old wants pasta with greens and beans? So here's a look at our date:. Toast the walnuts. oh the flavor! Learning to slice garlic. Add a...

Art From My Table. A place of inspiration from my table to yours. Sunday, March 30, 2014. Pasta with Arugula, White Beans and Walnuts. This is a lovely healthy spring-y recipe. Coarse salt and ground pepper. 4 garlic cloves, thinly sliced. 1 pound baby arugula. 1 can cannellini beans, rinsed and drained. Art From My Table. There...

The Kennedy Family in Germany: May 2012

http://kennedyfamilyingermany.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html

The Kennedy Family in Germany. Another German holiday gave us the chance to leave the country! We went next door to Belgium for the Ascension Day holiday week-end. You might be thinking, wow, they travel a lot. We do! After a while I realized most everyone spoke English. We started off the day with a River cruise. What a great spot for a nap! We also stopped in this church to light a candle in honor of Mark's mother! It was so much fun stumbling upon this amazing parade. This parade displayed all the...

The Kennedy Family in Germany: April 2013

http://kennedyfamilyingermany.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html

The Kennedy Family in Germany. We had a exciting Spring Break filled with family visitors and some time to explore some more! My sister and her family came to spend their Spring Break with us and to see where we live. We decided to meet in Bavaria and make our way back to Dusseldorf. On our way to meet the Wynsma's in Munich, we stopped half way in the German town of Heidelberg. Heidelberg Castle high on the hill behind Vivian and Jack. The Old Bridge in Heidelberg. We went to see Salzburg, Austria.

The Kennedy Family in Germany: June 2013

http://kennedyfamilyingermany.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html

The Kennedy Family in Germany. International Summer Fair at St. Georges School. The rain held off for the annual Summer Fair at school. Brats and beer available at this school party which was held on the school playground. Quite an unlikely scenario for our schools at home! Jack had fun playing this Indian game! Fathers Day in the Black Forest. Mark and his kiddos on Father's Day at Germany's largest waterfall. Black Forest Cake - we tried it, but it is NOT our favorite dessert. The James Bond Theme.

The Kennedy Family in Germany: March 2012

http://kennedyfamilyingermany.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html

The Kennedy Family in Germany. I was super lucky to go on a class field trip with each of my kids this week. First, Jack and I went to the Chocolate Museum in Cologne on Wednesday. We started by taking a double decker coach bus. That was fun! We liked riding on top. The museum was right on the Rhine in Cologne. It was a nice location! It was a true chocolate factory. Here is the robot arm transferring the chocolate. The best part was tasting free samples! This is Vivian and her friends, Leonie and Alex.

The Kennedy Family in Germany: November 2012

http://kennedyfamilyingermany.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html

The Kennedy Family in Germany. London - Fall Break 2012. It was fun to go to London because Vivian and Jack attend a British school in Germany and they feel like they experience British culture everyday. It's fun when they speak with their fun British accents too! The London Eye (Ferris Wheel). I think one of the kids favorite things this week was riding the underground and figuring out the way. Changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace. No, we did not see the Queen, she wasn't home. The Tower of London.

The Kennedy Family in Germany: February 2013

http://kennedyfamilyingermany.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html

The Kennedy Family in Germany. It was Valentine's Day while we were there. So there were many roses for sale on La Rambla. The Market entrance on La Rambla. The markets are bountiful! La Rambla - the main street that heads to the port. The hot chocolate was amazing! It was so rich and thick that you almost needed a spoon to drink (eat) it. We took a Fat Tire Bike Tour thru Barcelona. Our favorite way to see the sights. Arc de Triomf - not to be confused with the one in Paris! A little cold for a swim,.

Ramblings from an imperfect mom...: January 2011

http://louzonia.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html

Ramblings from an imperfect mom. Striving to be more like her Perfector. January 19, 2011. Families and a recipe. We have been attending church on Sunday nights as a commitment with our small group and I have really been enjoying them! 1)Emphasize the uniqueness of every member of your family and encourage individuality. 2)Maintain consistency of the messages we convey. 3)Give immediate and appropriate discipline (kids can't call the shots). 4)Allow a generous margin for mistakes. 1 tsp table salt. 1/2 c...

Ramblings from an imperfect mom...: May 2011

http://louzonia.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html

Ramblings from an imperfect mom. Striving to be more like her Perfector. May 31, 2011. I found this poem earlier in the year and have been wanting to share it for a long time. Here's to all the mom's of boys! Last week I fought a dragon strong. Then climbed a castle wall. Too bad I fell from off the roof. Mom's flowers broke my fall. Yesterday I sailed to sea. With pirates at the door. Too bad the tub was just too small. To keep the ocean off the floor. Today I launched a rocket to. The moon for Mom to see.
