Welcome to Pancam Home! The Pancam is a high-resolution stereo camera that takes color pictures of the surrounding Martian landscape from the Mars Exploration Rovers. These images are being used in the discovery of local geology, morphology, topography, and meteorology. They also help determine which sites the rovers should visit next. Launched in August 2003, Spitzer completes a decade of exploration across the spectrum, providing unparallelled sensitivity in seeing the infrared universe. Three scientific instrument packages are onboard. Two, the Infrared Array Camera. And the Multiband Infrared Photometer for Spitzer. Take pictures of the sky in infrared radiation. The third is the subject of these pages.
