Death Of Danny Hegan. Midfielder Passes Away After Illness. Our condolences go to the family and friends of Dany Hegan after we heard today that he had died at the age of 72. The Northern Ireland international had been suffering from bowel cancer and passed away in a hospice in Birmingham. We will, as usual, be writing an obituary and plan to post it over the weekend.
