This page contains links to web sites that I come across from time to time that do a much better job than I in portraying the beauty of specific features of the area. I hope to improve my site in time but for now I highly recommend these sites for the depth and the quality of information that they contain. I give priority to Barmouth-related sites followed by some of my favorites from around the area. Frixo is a road traffic reporting site. The British Coast Guide. Fairbourne and Barmouth Steam Railway.

Monday, August 29, 2005. More on The Village. When Wops and I got to the village it was afternoon, and still pretty busy. We wandered around, through doorways, up and down steps, and eventually found our way to the beach. I looked for one of the huge, white bubbles, but I guess I had to try escaping before I found one, and the place was just to nice to want to escape from. The above picture is of The Prisoner Shop. Low cost, self catering accommodation in Betws-y-Coed. In 1959 a group of enthusiasts got together and rented a small barn at Capel Curig, North Wales, calling themselves The Barn Committee. The building provided the most basic accommodation which, at that time, was acceptable. Due to the death of the farmer in 1981, the lease was foreclosed and the building reverted back to farming use. We continued to raise funds and seek suitable accommodation. Has progressively become greater. North Wales, which is r...
