If I Had A Bike Blog...: March 2011
http://ifihadabikeblog.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
This is the kind of stuff I'd post on it. Monday, March 07, 2011. So I guess I'm a MTBer now? As cyclocross season was winding down last year, and I felt myself on the verge of having racing withdrawls, I decided that it would be a good idea to get into mountain biking. I figured it would be great on multiple fronts: I'd get to stay in shape by racing, I could work on my technical skillz (or lack thereof) for next 'cross season, and obviously. If you're interested in the bike nerd stats, read on:. I gues...

A Simple Way to Carry Stuff on Your Bike. This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 2.5 License. When I loaded up all the stuff I took with me for a week up on Vancouver Island, I had a bit too much gear to comfortably fit in the Rubbermaid tote. I'd been using as a bike truck. Also packing too much weight up high changes the handling of the bike, so I wound up using panniers when I rode the VanIsle 1200K. I'd seen panniers made from oyster buckets. If I Had A Bike Blog...: Picnic Machine
http://ifihadabikeblog.blogspot.com/2011/09/picnic-machine.html
This is the kind of stuff I'd post on it. Thursday, September 08, 2011. Life is rough in Seattle these days. Ever since returning from PBP. This is the type of riding I've been wanting to do. Picnic riding. It's finally summer-type weather here, and we're spoiled with parks and water in this damn town. All this is made much easier by the fact that for a while now, I've had a sweet basket on the front of the bike I've been commuting on and riding the most: the Frankenbike. Cover with stretchy cargo net.

If I Had A Bike Blog...: Paris-Brest-Paris 2011
http://ifihadabikeblog.blogspot.com/2011/09/paris-brest-paris-2011.html
This is the kind of stuff I'd post on it. Tuesday, September 06, 2011. Well, as you may or may not have heard, I managed to find my way through the 1230 kilometers of Paris-Brest-Paris in less than 90 hours, thereby cementing my status as an ancien. With that said, there are definite highlights that stick out in my mind:. Being cheered by scores of local villagers and townspeople, at all hours of the day and night:. My first ever "flower hand-up", from one of the many young children that cheered us on.
