Trade Pressed: I'm the expert?
http://tradepressed.blogspot.com/2008/01/im-expert.html
Wednesday, January 2, 2008. Back from our New Year’s break, one of the first things I need to jump into is writing my editorial column. I used to leave this to the last thing I work on every month (I guess I still do), and usually inspiration hits me at the last moment. Oh, and Paul Conley. Thanks for the link. Can’t get any better PR than that. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Stuff You Should Check Out. B or Not 2B. Backspace - The Writer's Place. What will content look like in December 2008?

Welcome to the inaugural post of Trade Pressed - a blog for editors and those interested in publishing, from the perspective of a trade press editor. I want to talk with you about what's going on in this weird pub world. Things are a lot different than when I started in the industry in 1999. Stick around - they're saying 2008 will be a bumpy ride. Trade Pressed: December 2007
http://tradepressed.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 28, 2007. So the Internet is great, obviously. I read today about someone who said she's going to try to give up e-mail for a year. Pffft. Yeah, ok. But we still haven't figured out how the Internet, especially Web 2.0, works with trade magazines. I love social networking. I'd love it even more if more people I know used it as much as I do. But do people running businesses really want to make "friends" for business purposes? Is that asking for too much of their time? B or Not 2B.

In Search of Spirit: October 2013
http://sallywallacelynch.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
In Search of Spirit. Thursday, October 17, 2013. Today is my birthday so I’m treating myself to writing in the early hours about it. It’s 3:15 AM. Coffee is brewed. It’s dark everywhere in the house except for the glow of my laptop. I hear the fan whirring upstairs, a trick we used to muffle sounds that could potentially wake the sleeping baby. Seventeen years of whirring later, the girls still like their white noise makers. Has it been wasted? Have I loved enough? We can’t know every detail. B...3 Encou...
