Zackarate Island: Pimp my bike
http://zackarateisland.blogspot.com/2008/10/pimp-my-bike.html
Thursday, 16 October 2008. Today the Auckland Greens on Campus, complete with two young candidates showed cycling, though currently dangerous, can be awesome. Courtesy of some spray paint, plus a collection of cool accessories, we pimped bikes. The above was one of our beautiful creations, though the owner did the spray painting himself. Ah, the beauty of cheap bikes and the willingness to decorate that goes with them. Should you give money to beggars? I repeat, I've made it to g.blog! Today the Auckland...

WORKING CLASS MAN: June 2008
http://brendensheehan.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
A perspective from the other side of the Mangere Bridge. Tuesday, June 10, 2008. In one of the most bizarre finishes to an indoor netball game the Central Pulse last night claimed their first point in the Trans-Tasman championship. The game, played in Perth's Challenge Stadium, was called off at half time after the stadium roof developed a leak. Which flooded the court. The Pulse were being hammered by 17 points at the time. Perhaps if they take a drill to the roof of TSB. Links to this post. On an immig...

I attended the second session of the 2013 Te Papa Treaty Debate series this evening. The format was a little different to previous sessions, which have usually had two prominent Treaty commentators each present to the audience gathered at Te Papa. This evening we heard shorter presentations from four 'young New Zealanders', followed by a discussion facilitated by Kim Hill. Ahi-kā-ro...

The Phantom Bloggess: February 2014
http://mariewg.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
The public blog of a private diarist. Tuesday, February 25, 2014. Someone saved my life last week. Last week, after 15 years of medication, dodgy health and tests, I had an adrenalectomy for Conn's Syndome. I was going to write in a bit of detail about living with undiagnosed Conn's, but in fact I'm kind of overwhelmed about being cured, and coming off enormous quantities of drugs. Convalescing at the moment, and getting my head around it all. And feeling very blessed. Links to this post.

stupid internet name: panzers in poll-land

Everyone, Everyone on the world wide web should have a made up, Stupid Internet Name. I'm just supremely unimaginative. Friday, August 29, 2008. Once you've done that, it becomes clear that National is nowhere near commanding a majority in the 2009 Parliament, unless you assume that either (a) all the undecideds are not going to vote, or (b) when they do come to vote they will all neatly fit into the patterns of those who have already made up their minds. Don’t know/ undecided. My money is firmly on thos...
