E21 323i Drift/Rally Project Car - 4L I6: It's Alive!!!
http://www.e21build.com/2013/04/its-alive.html
E21 Drift Project - Ford Australia 4.0L I6 - Naturally Aspirated. Monday, April 8, 2013. So, today was a -massive- day for the project. We started at about 1.30pm and got stuck right in where we left off yesterday. Jacked up the EB and removed the fuel tank and installed in the E21. One of the two bolts that hold the fuel straps on rounded and had to get the chop. Above: The tank installed. Then we installed the EL ECU and test fired the car. No dice. I started poring over the EA wiring schematics. Check...

E21 323i Drift/Rally Project Car - 4L I6: July 2015
http://www.e21build.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
E21 Drift Project - Ford Australia 4.0L I6 - Naturally Aspirated. Monday, July 13, 2015. Painted Calipers, Adaptor Holes Drilled. I'm away for work for a couple of nights, so this will be the last post regarding the brakes until Friday at the earliest. I applied clear coat to the first of the calipers, complete with vinyl decal. I'm not 100% certain but very hopeful that the clear coat will help protect the vinyl from the heat extremes that apply to braking components. First I drilled the retaining bolt ...

E21 Drift Project - Ford Australia 4.0L I6 - Naturally Aspirated. Friday, September 19, 2014. Better lighting and an iPhone 6 = better photos. Got myself an iPhone 6 today which has optical image stabilisation for much better low light photos; the result with the one very average light I've previously demonstrated here, captured with the 6 is as follows:. It looks like the result will be much nicer images for the blog. Here are a few detail close ups:. Also a shot showing the reflection from the lights:.

E21 323i Drift/Rally Project Car - 4L I6: Big Brake Progress

E21 Drift Project - Ford Australia 4.0L I6 - Naturally Aspirated. Friday, July 10, 2015. I received my shims back from the machinist (thanks Niflex Engineering. So in preparation for fitting the calipers, last night I started to paint one of the two. I'm sure you can all relate, once you've fitted and are using something, the desire to remove and re-work it becomes almost non-existent. I used VHT Caliper Paint (Red). The difference in size between the two setups is massive. I cut out some PBR logos with ...

E21 323i Drift/Rally Project Car - 4L I6: May 2014

E21 Drift Project - Ford Australia 4.0L I6 - Naturally Aspirated. Friday, May 30, 2014. Cup holder, washer bottle and dash lights. So I've been doing a couple of things to make the car easier to live with since I've driven it to work a couple of times in the last month. I also mounted the fuse holder for the main ECU/ancillary power supply lead and used that mounting to tie all the battery leads together. Aluminium checkerplate straps were perfect to secure it at the top. Along with a slot at the bottom.

E21 Drift Project - Ford Australia 4.0L I6 - Naturally Aspirated. Wednesday, April 16, 2014. Picture this - I get a phone call from Hamo "you're taking the E21 to the drags, like it or not - I'm paying". Honestly, I don't care that he's willing to pay - "I'll just break something" I protest. Plus, I want to weld the diff before I go out so I've at least got some traction, and I -hate- the smell of diff oil". The response "I'll come around tomorrow night and weld the diff". He must have rubber arms. Off w...
