St Theresa’s School Charter 2016 – 2018. Saint Theresa’s School was opened 1st February 1931 by the Bishop of Dunedin, Bishop James Whyte. The school contained two rooms separated by a folding door, which meant that it could be used as the church on Sundays. Forty-three children began class on 4 February 1931, Sister Mary Petronill teaching Standards 1 to 4 and Sister Mary Rinaldo the infants. St Theresa’s School Charter 2016 – 2018. Winter (Term 2 and 3):. Long sleeved white blouse. Bottle green V neck jersey/ Black V neck vest. Black or brown school shoes. Summer (Term 1 and 4):. Short sleeved white blouse. Bottle green V neck jersey/ Black V neck vest. Black or brown school shoes/ sandals (NO JANDALS). Shorts may be worn under pinafore to enable the pinafore to be removed on hot days. Pinafore must be worn to and from school. Sun hats are compulsory (available from the school office).
