Tuesday, July 24, 2007. I've been tagged.randomly. So Rustin "tagged" me on his blog for the following "game." I can't believe I'm participating in this, but then of course, the biggest shocker is that Rustin participated in it first. Here are the rules:. 1 players start with 8 random facts about themselves. 2 those who are tagged should post these rules and their 8 random facts. 3 players should tag 8 other people and notify them they have been tagged. Well, here it goes:. 6 When I'm playing piano by my...

Thursday, October 16, 2008. Even joe the plumber can easily vote for entry number 4. So i've noticed that the enthusiasm for this fine game has quickly diminished. still, don't let the man get you down. remember, in this economic crisis, you have nothing to lose by making this vote. you will not lose any money by voting in this shal vs. shao election. in fact, it could be the best decision you will ever make. Or at least the best decision you've made all day. no bailouts necessary. Here's your next shot!

Monday, May 25, 2009. Where giving the middle finger is apparently a sign of affection. An odd post on memorial day, particularly considering that my last post was on mlk day and actually had something to do with the holiday. this one does not. it does however have to do with an experience from this weekend.friday night, may 22nd, 2009. Man: "so my friend and i were talking. 'becoming.' now is that in reference to the song by pantera or to silence of the lambs? Man: "what's the significance? Me: "well it...

A man is stumbling through the woods totally drunk when he comes upon a preacher baptizing people in the river. The drunk walks into the water and subsequently bumps into the preacher. I think the ongoing struggle in my life is (and will be) the need and desire to keep myself "in the world" when so much pulls me out. I work a more-than-full-time job, and while that could certainly be called "in the world," it isn't enough for me. I want more. More people, more perspective, more shared experience. Hey, hey, how are you guys doing?

Album is beautiful, heartbreaking and fills me with the loneliness and frustration I see all around me. I'm going to a town that has already been burned down. I'm so tired of America. You may have noticed that I don't post here these days. I just couldn't keep up with two blogs at once. Read me, up-to-date, at. Question: does following Jesus mean surrendering not only to Jesus, but surrendering to our enemies? Is that the surrendered life? Does loving our enemies mean surrendering to them? I talked with a woman today who had visited my little "soulcafe" church once, but didn't return because it wasn't right for her. They were sweet people," she explained, "but I need to be in a place where they are living out the gifts of the spirit.". I said, "hold on, they. She told me I was denying the Holy Spirit because I didn't speak in tongues.
