The Community Basket started with the collecting of clothes and shoes left behind by guests at Coffee Shack Backpackers. We now encourage guests to donate anything they do not want or that cannot fit into their backpacks to the Community Basket and we will distribute these to the communities around the Coffee Bay area. Located on the makai (ocean) side of Highway 11, one mile south of the Captain Cook Post Office, between mile markers 108 and 109. We are open everyday from 7:30am until 3:00pm. Our coffee is known for its flavor and aroma. It is grown on the mountainside directly below our lanai at the 1,400 foot elevation.
