Doreen in London: 2008-06-08

Wednesday, June 11, 2008. Off to Dublin tomorrow! Just headed to bed so that I can wake up early tomorrow and get ready to go to Dublin. The last couple days have been nice, aside from my ferocious allergies. I've stopped wearing my contacts all together, and I think some of my neighbors may be able to identify me from my sneezing. Almost nothing is helping this get better, and I'm getting frustrated. We all went out to Sports Cafe again last night- pints are only £1.50 and there's no cover char...The re...

Doreen in London: Finally a Dublin Update
http://dorelondon.blogspot.com/2008/06/finally-dublin-update.html
Wednesday, June 18, 2008. Finally a Dublin Update. I keep putting off writing about Dublin because I know it's going to be a long one. Here goes:. After dinner, we met up with about 13 or 14 Scottish guys our age who'd come to Dublin to celebrate a couple birthdays. They were all traditionally dressed in kilts, and made sure we all knew just how traditional- there was no end to the flashing that night. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Wednesday, May 21, 2008. Welcome to my Blog! This space is going to serve as my travel journal while I'm "studying" abroad in England. I'm terrible at keeping pen-and-paper journals regularly, so hopefully this will be easier and I'll actually have a complete diary of what I'm doing and thinking during my trip. I'll be writing about what I'm learning, who I've met, and the things I see and do in London (and hopefully other places as well). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Make your own badge here.

Sunday, June 22, 2008. Wednesday I went to Camden Town to do a little shopping- I probably spent too much time there, but it's such a fun part of town I couldn't help it. Saturday I went to pick up Dorothy and my train tickets so we can get from Denmark to Sweden. They ended up being twice as expensive as we thought. Why is rail travel so costly? An Embarrassment of Frivolities: December 2009
http://embarrassmentoffrivolities.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
An Embarrassment of Frivolities. Monday, 28 December 2009. Of All Good Wishes. It's been such a long time since I last posted! December has been a wonderful, if chaotic month, but I wanted to tie up a couple of loose ends before beginning blogging properly again in the new year. Firstly, I am ashamed that it has taken me so long to reveal my Persephone Secret Santa! I was so excited to take part in Book Psmith. Walk to the pub, It's A Wonderful Life. We met up some time ago now, and I couldn't resist ope...

October 2, 2012. Here is a short photo diary of another of my many trips to London, an extraordinary city, coloured (apart from the sky, which is almost always some shade of Grey.), full of a thousand things and different people, from the elegant gents of the city of London. To the artists in Covent Garden. The many shoppers in Oxford street. And the many young people everywhere where everyone seems to be less than 25 years old (quite a while ago for me I’m afraid). This time we stayed.
