Capturing 52 weeks of my journey as an adult ballet dancer. Wednesday, March 20, 2013. Some men have thousands of reasons why they cannot do what they want to, when all they need is one reason why they can. Links to this post. Sylvie Guillem, the legend of our era. I must say I did very much enjoy Jiri Kylian's opening piece of 27'52" too (danced magnificently by Natasa Novotna and Vaclav Kunes) although some reviewers have described it as the least compelling work for the night. Capturing 52 weeks of my journey as an adult ballet dancer. Monday, March 3, 2014. Inspired by Bush Ballerina. What an inspiration she is, and a great reminder to me not to take for granted the wonderful classes and teachers that I have such easy access to every day of the week, here in Sydney. And more importantly, do check out her shop front,. Where she is selling products she has personally designed, to raise funds to get to more ballet classes. March 4, 2014 at 9:39 PM. Capturing 52 weeks of my journey as an adult ballet dancer. Monday, May 19, 2014. Now, THAT'S exciting! Dear reader, my apologies! I haven't been blogging for a while now, but hopefully you'll be pleased to know that I've been able to keep dancing, except for the few weeks over the Easter/Anzac Day and school holiday period, where it was a little challenging finding classes to get to regularly. But things are back into full swing now and it's really super to be doing classes regularly again. I have found...

Capturing 52 weeks of my journey as an adult ballet dancer. Sunday, February 10, 2013. I didn't think I'd be nervous. Being nervous in class was something I had not expected at all. I remember some of the others saying a few days before that they were feeling rather nervous about the Masterclass, and I had said "Don't be - just come and have fun! One very lucky group of adult students, with Isabelle, Tibor, Damian and our "maestro" for the evening,. Lynda and I, with étoile. Links to this post. Pointe Ti...

Dancer Diaries: New Lens, New Sight
http://juliebluesdancerdiaries.blogspot.com/2015/03/new-lens-new-sight.html
Saturday, March 7, 2015. New Lens, New Sight. Sometimes its good to take a step back and refocus on the bigger picture. I've been spending a great deal of time thinking, planning, writing, debating, and thinking even more. Yeah, we all do that, but the funny thing is lately I've been looking through a new lens. Instead of focusing on problems and issues, I've been actively focusing on possibilities. In other words, I'm trying not to "wet blanket" ideas, but let them pour out before. See, I'm a worrier.

Dancer Diaries: December 2014

Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Grandest of Them All. A light went out in this world on Sunday, December 28th when my dear sweet grandmother, Geneva Libersat Theall, passed. While we all try to find comfort in the loss of a beautiful and lively soul, we've been reminded of lovely happy memories. She was a spitfire and a joy to be around, one we will all surely miss. Anyway, I wrote a tribute speech just for my grandmother. I had to dig through the garage to unearth the old laptop and hope and pray that...
