The Rural Jungle: August 2012
http://ruraljungle.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Friday, 24 August 2012. Well the Leucomelas tadpole from the previous post has morphed successfully and been with us for around 3 weeks now. He is quite happy in his growing out tub and has been greedily munching his way through everything we throw at him. We have decided to call him Skully, his patterning shows you why:. I'm very happy with his progress and we have a large number of tadpoles on the way to morphing and more eggs to hatch yet. Here he is the day we moved him into his grow out tub:.

http://ruraljungle.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Friday, 1 February 2013. Well I've been joking about this all last year and here it is. I will do this hopefully sometime soon, but for now, here’s a photo showing the explosive root growth of. This offset is almost a fully grown plantlet, not bad considering it was a tiny bud 2 months ago. I’ve also been busy fussing over the aquatic portion of the vivarium. At first I filled it with. https://harshpod.wordpress.com/2012/01/22/a-plantlet-per-month
A plantlet per month. During October I uploaded a simple diagram to show new growth in one of my orchids. Didn’t look too healthy when I first receieved it, but started to revitalise once placed in a humid environment. Still, I was surprised to see it put out new leaves (A) in a relatively short period of time. 3 months on and the plant displays great signs of improvement. New leaves and pseudobulbs are highlighted via (B). By Adam Bone on January 22, 2012. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. A plantlet per month.

Around the Web: Inspiration. The previous post just reminded me of another viv that partly inspired my own. Steven Bonheim’s enclosure of densely integrated plant growth is a feast for the eyes, and one I keep returning back to for another look (or serving, if I want to run with the whole dining metaphor). Here’s the ingredients:. 8216;Display Vivarium UPDATE PLANTED’. By Adam Bone on February 6, 2012. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Address never made public). A plantlet per month.
