Journey through Kozmik Kaos: Winter reading
http://kozmikkaos.blogspot.com/2011/02/winter-reading.html
Wednesday, February 2, 2011. How does one endure record-breaking winter temperatures when one hates winter? By reading, of course! Brian and I have both kept our noses buried in books as December and January have slowly passed. What have I been reading? The Curse of the Pharoahs. By Elizabeth Peters. The second in the Amelia Peabody series. I adore these books and am kicking myself for taking so long to discover them. Morality for Beautiful Girls. And Kalahari Typing School for Men. Get your updates here!

Sunshine almost always makes me high! Monday, September 28, 2015. September 21 - 28, 2015. Monday, Sept 21, 2015 Craters of the Moon. Craters of the Moon. One hundred sixty-three miles, that’s all we did today. I thought we'd stay on US 93, but the GPS decided that we should take the Sacajawea Historic Trail. The trail was chock full of historic markers, several noted milestone accomplished by Lewis and Clark. We've seen roadside markers about them since Minnesota! Those boys really got around. Driving w...

"SUNSHINE" Stories: March 2015
http://billandannamariessunshine.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Sunshine almost always makes me high! Thursday, March 19, 2015. We pulled out of our campsite at Phipps County Park at 0800 on March 17. Motoring north on I 95 at a leisurely 60 mph, we were making decent progress. We passed through Jacksonville with the usual traffic, but no delays. We were thankful for the relatively easy passage through the city. By 1300 hours, we were able hook the boat and truck together and be on our way. The F 250 being off loaded at at the repair shop. We stopped at the South of ...

Sunshine almost always makes me high! Sunday, February 8, 2015. Thursday, February 5, 3015 Not Again! The hook was up at 0700 and M/V Sunshine headed out Sisters Creek. Outside, we found rollers and 12 to 15 knot wind out of the south. Yesterday's whitecaps are gone and it looks pleasant enough. Looks can be deceiving! At 1015, it started to rain. It saved us from washing the boat. When the rain is finished, all the salt should be gone. Well, the boat got a good bath. It rained the rest of the day. We tu...

Our Adventures in Nunavut and Plans to Sail the Ocean. They come in droves…. August 9, 2015. It is summer time in Baker Lake. Yes we get above 0. C here) which means the mosquitoes are out in full. We heard about these creatures when we moved to Baker Lake never thinking for once that if we wanted to spend any time outside during the summer that we had to wear a bug jacket or use enough DEET to kill a small dog or had to do both! Bugs, bugs and more bugs. What creature of that size can do that? And this ...

Our first sail out of Canada | Sailing Pups
https://sailingpups.wordpress.com/2015/03/31/our-first-sail-out-of-canada
Our Adventures in Nunavut and Plans to Sail the Ocean. Our first sail out of Canada. March 31, 2015. In Sailing and Boat Life. We’ve wanted to travel across to the San Juan Islands. And leisurely went through customs without incident. We left Tsehum Harbour. Flying the American Courtesy Flag. Ok, we were being extra extra careful and nervous-nellies. Citrus, avocado, ginger, garlic, and green onions, but peppers and tomatoes were ok only if they were not from BC? Which were turned over by Sophia. As a pa...
