Quilt Otaku: Visiting the country below Neverland
http://quiltotaku.blogspot.com/2014/06/visiting-country-below-neverland.html
Friday, June 13, 2014. Visiting the country below Neverland. We just got back from a week of running around London with the family. Did we go there only to visit Liberty of London. Of course not. Well, kinda, but there were a lot of other things to see and do. The kids had ideas of what they wanted to do and so did the adults. We found a pretty good happy medium where many of our top places were visited. Hello, is that London UK? Going there in August. Looking forward to your posts! Pamela, in Japan.

Paws, Claws and Landing Gear: April 2011

Wednesday, April 20, 2011. Haiti Reflections: Day 5 - March 19 Addendum. You know, originally I wasn't going to post this part of the story. But after I published the story of our last clinic day, I thought that this really needed to be told. I'm not one for covering up. After dinner and debriefing, most of us wanted to go out into Chantal and see the village. At least, see as much of the village as we could see in the dark. So we grabbed some beers, cracked them open and headed out on the town. I'm not ...

Corinna Stoeffl | exploring the interplay of light, contrast, color and form

Exploring the interplay of light, contrast, color and form. Seeing Beyond: Circular Patterns of Reflected Light. My special technique for the ‘Seeing Beyond’ portfolio. Beauty: What is it and how important is it? First, I want to define what I. How many art critics tell us what is supposed to be beautiful? The focus seems to be on beauty, so how can it be suppressed? I feel the unhealthy quest for physical beauty and ‘standardized’ beauty are exactly signs that we don’t have a personal relationship with ...

The world as seen through my lens. Saturday, November 23, 2013. The Moon and the Maple Tree. I was outside taking night shots with my DSLR and I decided to include the tree near our house in the shot. I used the pop up flash to light the tree and the long exposure to show the moon and stars. The world as seen through my lens. Tuesday, July 29, 2014. Tiny wasp under the microscope. Found this dead insect on a windowsill today and popped it under the scope at 40x. I lit it with a household lamp and photographed it with my phone. Very hit and miss! Links to this post. Saturday, July 12, 2014. Privet is a common sight in urban areas as hedging, but how many notice the flowers? Not only do they look good but they smell good too! They also produce black fruit that birds enjoy.
