Jacque (Foster) and Beck (Bastow) left at 5:30 am and rode the school bus to pick up children for the Rambo School. Following rounds, a breakfast of PANCAKES and SYRUP was served. Wednesday, December 7, 2011. Journal Blogs #12 - 11/9/2011. As we take the long flight home back to the U.S., I stop to reflect on what we have been privileged to experience in the last 12 days. The foreign smells, cold water and hard beds (and pillows) were a minor inconvenience and well worth the sacrifices. We have truly been graced by God - from the teachers, students, doctors, nurses, preachers and children of India. We have made a lot of new friends! Why go to India - - - -. To see the eyes, hands.

Sunday, October 30, 2011. It is Monday morning in India. We are at Family Village Farm where we have just witnessed the weekly flag raising ceremony and enjoyed some mid-morning tea and biscuits. (Thank you to the British Empire.). The main struggle at Kalyani is the rapidly deteroriating facilities. Many of the buildings are over 100 yrs old and crumbling before one's eyes.
