Our Blah Humbug Christmas Year. Whatever the causes, I can honestly say that I had a very, very difficult time getting into the holiday spirit this year. I went to bed happy, knowing that Christmas would indeed here- both in my mindset and in days to come. Insert ominous sound here *. The Mister and the boys went off to my Mom...

While I'm pretty darn positive that Paloma is my daughter (I was there, after all), I'm also sure that she is gunning to be our dear Essie Why's verbal prodigy. Tonight she came up with a new bit of terminology that I am hereby submitting to the, ahem:. Dictionary of Anatomically Incorrect Terms. Front Butt (feminine use only).

a sustainable life: April 2012
http://livingthesustainablelife.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
I've mentioned our chickens before. It's not too long before we'll have had them for a whole year! And what a lot we've learned. i've learned to keep the terrace door closed so that they can't come in and make themselves at home (they also tend to eat the cat food while they're there). https://goodearthfarmcsa.wordpress.com/2013/05/09/a-lunch-memoir
Life on a diversified vegetable and CSA farm. Good Earth Farm CSA. May 9, 2013. It’s a pretty busy time on the farm in spring. Most days we gather together for meals, but occasionally lunch is taken outside to those who are occupied with work that can’t wait for later. Meanwhile, I had made more sandwiches and chopped up more carrots. In a cloth napkin I folded up one of the sandwiches and some carrots. I was headed to the tree house (actually, at this time it is a tree platform. Our other daughter Neve ...

Time to Pot-up | Good Earth Farm
https://goodearthfarmcsa.wordpress.com/2013/05/13/time-to-pot-up
Life on a diversified vegetable and CSA farm. Good Earth Farm CSA. May 13, 2013. Over the past few weeks (and for another week to come) the crew has been potting-up in the greenhouse. Potting-up is the term we use to describe the transfer of a plant from a small cell to a larger cell or pot. Cells are the individual spaces in a plastic container called a flat. The plants that we pot-up the most are tomatoes and peppers. This little tomato seedling is ready to be put into larger cells or a 3 inch pot.
