User Computer Access | Biological Sciences IT
http://www.it.biol.vt.edu/user-computer-access
The IT Support office would prefer that computer access is managed on a per user basis. Using lab accounts with shared passwords make it nearly impossible to secure a machine and most scenarios allow for the same benefits of a shared account to be achieved while still allowing precise control over who has access to what resources on a machine. In the event that usage or software dictate that a lab account is required, the account password should: comply with VT’s password policy. Submit a Ticket or Poster.
