CODED MESSAGES TO THE OWLS: November 2011
http://matthewmahaney.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
CODED MESSAGES TO THE OWLS. November 20, 2011. Each day brings new clothes. The sun knows it needn't show itself to soak our bones. November is a foreign tongue. Its syllables go monotone in local mouths, mouths yawning wide with gratitude and expectation. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Words in the World. View my complete profile. Simple template. CODED MESSAGES TO THE OWLS: February 2012
http://matthewmahaney.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
CODED MESSAGES TO THE OWLS. February 12, 2012. My birthday celebrations included George's Lebanese. For lunch, a trip to Whole Foods. And three types of apple pie. I'm treating the day after my birthday as submissions day - essays to magazines and my poetry manuscript to book contests (which seems like an ok way to spend birthday money). February 05, 2012. If you'll be in Tuscaloosa this weekend, you should come to this. February 02, 2012. The new issue of Typo. Features a poem Joshua Helms.

http://josiahbancroft.blogspot.com/2011/11/new-site-and-poem.html
November 21, 2011. A New Site and a Poem. I've launched a new site which has more examples of my work, including a chapter from my new novel. The site is josiahmedia.com, and you can visit it here. I've never written a poem about turkeys and reindeer, and so I have nothing of the season to offer you. Instead, here's a poem about a lost dog. Posted, Lost Dog. Friendly. Answers to Ernie. Black spot on white back. Hind left leg missing. Short hair. Disappeared near Spring and. Briarwood. Reward. Eats.

Readings:: December 2010
http://harrietmillan.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 23, 2010. Labels: Turkana tribesmen; weaver bird; giant ant hill; samburu lodge. The power in the hotel was too inconsistent to keep this blog, so I'll just recount some of the things I did after I returned to Nairobi and post some pictures. The opening party for Kwani LitFest was incredible! I met Kenyan writers, some of them heros whose books I read years ago, Ngugi Wa Thiango'O among them! Sunday, December 12, 2010. Last Day in Lamu. Friday, December 10, 2010. Second Day in Nairobi.
