Herschel digs up the dirt on distant galaxies using cosmic zoom lenses. Thu, 11/04/2010 - 14:13. Of the Open University and lead researcher of the study, explained, "Our survey of the sky looks for sources of sub-millimetre light. The big breakthrough is that we have discovered that many of the brightest sources are being magnified by lenses, which means that we no longer have to rely on the rather inefficient methods of finding lenses which are used at visible and radio wavelengths.". Of the Royal Obser...

Comet McNaught (Jan 2007) from 8645 foot. In Chile looking over the Pacific Ocean. Why not try (iPad) apps which can show Comets? Pocket Universe pUniverse is very good and affordable. [link]. SkySafari is pretty powerful and also has a pro-version. Advanced and Telescope features. StarmapPro shows more stars but is graphically less impressive. [link]. Star Walk is very good and shows satellites. It also shows under the horizon to see what you are missing. [link]. All these apps are good and show comets.
