Bowens TravelPak Plus | Meyfroidt Photography: Research

Some observations on the Bowens TravelPak Plus. That I recently started using. It allows one or two Esprit Gemini monolights to be powered away from mains power, for those occasions when I want a more powerful light source than I can get from portable strobes (which are much easier to handle on location! Archive for March, 2008. Epson R2400 and Leopard (MacOS X 10.5.2). So I finally dared to upgrade my workhorse Mac Pro to MacOS X 10.5 (Leopard) since it seemed that the 10.5.2 release fixed the issues with Lightroom and Photoshop that some people were reporting. Everything seemed to work at first (although it doesn’t seem an earth-shattering upgrade to the end-user), but making prints with my […]. Light – Science and Magic. Real World Colour Management. Canon G9 | Meyfroidt Photography: Research
https://meyfroidtresearch.wordpress.com/2008/01/05/canon-g9
So over on my Unfinished Thoughts. Blog I’ve posted a couple of shots taken with my new Canon G9. What a fantastic little point-n-shoot camera. We’ve got a Fuji F10 which we also use as a carry-anywhere camera, but I’ve never enjoyed using it, although it is undoubtedly one of the more capable compacts. Why don’t I get on with it? Yup, it’s a 580EX not the silly built-in flash. Off-camera? Yup, just use the normal off-camera cord. Completely off-camera? Yup, pocket wizards ahoy and away we go! The sensor...

Daylite and Synchronisation | Meyfroidt Photography: Research
https://meyfroidtresearch.wordpress.com/2007/12/28/daylite-and-synchronisation
This is another installment of my Daylite. Being on the road quite a lot I keep all my Daylite Contacts synchronised with my mobile phone. The new sync services implementation in Daylite is working really nicely for me and I use iSync to sync with my Nokia E65 (iSync plugin from the Nokia website… heard a rumour it doesn’t work with latest MacOSX but I still use Tiger). I also use Proximity. No Responses Yet to “Daylite and Synchronisation”. Feed for this Entry. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. You are commen...

Friday, December 11, 2009. Things on my Christmas Wish List:. Or the refill kit that is at http:/ www.inksupply.com/. These below, can be purchased at Michaels or Joann's with 40% off coupons! I love these markers. This spray paint in Heirloom White, one of these cool spray gun things for spray paint, would be really nice, so I don't get spray paint finger! This one isn't 40% off, but I could definately put it to good use! I like the dark walnut color! There are just a few ideas :). Posted by Simple Life.

Web slideshows | Meyfroidt Photography: Research

Mini-review of Honl Photo strobe modifiers. Someone asked me how I make the cool slideshows for my business website at www.meyfroidt.com. So I thought I’d point anyone interested to the Adobe Flash software I use from monoslideshow.com. It’s inexpensive, easy enough to use (hint: use the demo page to get close to what you need and then tweak the XML configuration in a text editor). Perhaps even better, there’s a Lightroom plugin that’ll generate your monoslideshow: see The Turning Gate. An error has occu...

Living With The Canon IPF8000. My Experiences In Large Format Printing. June 6, 2007. Epson 1290s With CFS. Hi Guys and Gals,. Example of the system for the 1290s from inksupply.com. On a separate note I have now been using a continuous ink system with my old Epson 1290s for one month now and I thought I would let you know how it’s been. Although they are in the states and I am in the Canary Isalnds, the product took less than a week to ship here. Very impressed. As the printer had been unused for so ver...
