http://kathylewisart.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, 28 January 2010. New Year New Ideas! Well, the first commission of the new year is completed and sent off following approval! Shown here, a much loved cat. The portrait was purchased for the gentlemans wife as a surprise present! I love being part of so many surprises and gifts. I suppose thats one of the lovely parts of my job. I am lucky to generally see people when they are excited about producing the portrait as a gift or generally to celebrate their much loved pet. Links to this post.

The portrait will be completed and sent to the sanctuary where they will use it for fundraising.

http://kathylewisart.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Friday, 2 January 2009. Here is the finished item! The horses are all very different and the owner was delighted. As you can see, in this final painting all the finer detailling is added. Constantly checking back and forward from the different reference photographs that every fine detail of light, shadow, vein and hair is correct. Well thankfully that is another one done and I can look forward to the next. Then for January and February I have a healthy mix of dogs horses and foals to keep me busy. As you...

Kathy Lewis Art: Large commission
http://kathylewisart.blogspot.com/2010/02/large-commission.html
Friday, 5 February 2010. Ok On with the commissions. :D I have started a large commission now, Its of 4 horses. Two of them have unfortunately passed away so we are really ltd with photos of those two. I have managed to get some more photos sent of the other 2 and I am working from numerous photos to get this portrait complete. It might sound simple, but to get them all looking correct from numerous photos requires a lot of study and placing. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). To access my Website.
