transcriptionsplus: Priorities are important
http://www.transcriptionsplusblog.com/2013/04/priorities-are-important.html
Monday, April 22, 2013. With the recent bombing in Boston, Massachusetts, and the devastating fertilizer plant explosion in West, Texas, many people had to reconsider what is actually most important in their lives. In Boston the runners quickly were forced to immediately shift their attention from the Finish line they were running towards to running for their life. The race in a split second became far less important than their safety and rightly so. Well, there’s the house payment or the rent....Some wo...

http://www.transcriptionsplusblog.com/2013/01/overachiever-or-barely-getting-by.html
Friday, January 25, 2013. Overachiever or Barely Getting By. While my cider was brewing I looked outside our breakfast room window across two pastures of baled hay and saw the children in the schoolyard bundled up in their coats and hats coming out for recess. Today their recess included walking down a long hill and up and down and around the schoolyard and then back into the building. It was taking several minutes for this and I was getting colder just watching them. I am back at my desk now with a rene...

Monday, September 17, 2012. Positive beats negative every time. Research shows that exposure to 30 minutes or more of negativity- including viewing such material on TV- actually peels away neurons in the brain's hippocampus. "That's the part of your brain you need for problem solving. Basically, it turns your brain to mush," according to Trevor Blake, entrepreneur and author of Three Simple Steps: A Map to Success in Business and Life. Who wants a mushy brain? There must be a better way to handle the sit...

I have finished NaNoWriMo with a 114.000 word first draft. And I'm emotionally exhausted. I cried myself through the last three chapters,. Blindly groping along my living-room in search for soul food and. Stuffed chocolate-chip-cookies into me until I could see the screen again. I killed a sweet innocent child. I suffered vicariously with them.

transcriptionsplus: Working late at night?
http://www.transcriptionsplusblog.com/2012/09/working-late-at-night.html
Sunday, September 23, 2012. Working late at night? I really enjoy working late at night. There’s just something about the no-noise environment that really helps me focus and get things done. I know that everyone says the early bird is the real go-getter but I beg to differ. I can be slowing down around 9 or 10 pm and at 11:00 I get a sudden burst of renewed energy and I’m ready to go for another 2 hours. My friend, Paul Evans (. Personal trainer and developer) is up at 3 or 4 am every day. Go, Paul!
