Amy's Fresh Thoughts: I'm Back!
http://www.amysfreshthoughts.com/2014/09/im-back.html
I apologize for being M.I.A. this past month, but with working full time and school AND finding out all of your pictures on your blog got deleted, inspiration has been pretty low! However, I finally got a couple days off where I could dedicate my full attention to revamping the blog. This past month has put me in a mini depression post Colorado. What a beautiful state! A backpackers guide to global culture. How I Became a Sculptor in Mamallapuram. June 17, 2014 9:10 am. The main street of Mamallapuram is lined with countless stalls selling immaculately handcrafted sculptures and most of the shops owners spend there days working on new pieces in front of their store. I was in the rare mood for shopping probably because I had a good reason this time, my dads 50th birthday was coming up and I wanted to send something home for him. Then it all came crumbling down. I was st...

https://vagamos.wordpress.com/2011/06/17/lago
A week to relax in Lagos! June 17, 2011. We’d both heard so many great stories about Lagos we had to add it onto the itinerary for the trip. Lagos is a small seaside village in the south of Portugal and home to what we were told was Europe’s second most beautiful beach, Praia Ana. Out host Rita asked us not to ask about the first most beautiful beach, as she didn’t know. Our villa (which looked like a Mexican hacienda. This slideshow requires JavaScript. San Sebastian and a 30th to (almost) remember! Lovely Lisboa →. June 8, 2011. Our next stop, Madrid, the capital of Spain! Like most capital cities (with the exception of Canberra) Madrid did not disappoint – majestic architecture, bull fights and flamenco. Madrid es bien viejo, si no fuera por los autos estariamos como los romanos – montando caballos (. Madrid is very old, if we didn’t have cars we’d still be like the Romans – riding on horseback. San Sebastian and a 30th to (almost) remember! June 1, 2011. We took a three-hour train ride across the country side from Paris. To Bordeaux. We had purchased a Eurail. Pass before leaving Australia, to cover us for travel between France, Italy, Spain and Portugal. It’s a great way to travel because you get to see a lot more of the country and avoid the hassle arriving two hours early to check in your bags at an airport. The tour then took us to the old town of Saint-Emillion where we saw the largest und...

Newer posts →. May 22, 2011. Montreal or Monreal (to the locals) was for lack of a better word Merde. Although, to be fair it did have three things working against it from the get go:. We were there for the Easter break which meant everything was closed. It poured down rain every single day we were there. And we had just arrived from NYC. The city that never sleeps to a city where all we did was sleep. That we stayed at was brilliant! My favourite) to French burger joints to McDonalds. I say this bec...

Holly's life so far. Thursday, 29 September 2011. Cape Town, Part 2. I couldn't just write one post on Cape Town, it was too much fun and such an amazing place! As we went to Cape Town a few months after the World Cup the hype of it all was still massive and it was so much fun being in that atmosphere. We had an opportunity to go to a match, USA vs South Africa and of course we went! It was so great walking towards the stadium! They were delicious and amazing! I couldn't tell you all of the wineries we w...
