But, do we really know what the situation is for all those people who lost homes, loved ones and livelihoods? Is not readily available. It would be fine,.

Rewind: Revisiting Kyoto |
https://through5eyes.com/2011/09/05/rewind-revisiting-kyoto
A blog about seeing the world. February, 2011…. After the long days of skiing in Japan’s unbeatable powder and the electronic madness of Tokyo, Kyoto. Was a serene and amazingly gorgeous dose of culture. We stayed at Yonbanchi. Returning each night to Yonbanchi was infinitely more enjoyable than staying at a downtown backpacker’s hostel and it completed an immersion into old Japan. Kyoto lingers in the imagination long after you leave, and it is one place we would no doubt return to. I look forward to he...

Climbing heights to save lives. May 10, 2011. This month, Climb For Kids is heading to China to participate in the Great Wall Marathon. One of the participants, Jessie Alan. Was kind enough to put together a bunch of thoughts on the event, her preparation and what the run means to her. Running stairs could not suck more. It’s great for your heart but it makes your head kind of swim. It’s hard on your knees on the way down, and hard on your IT bands, hamstrings and calves going up. May 11, 2011 at 5:19 pm.

Meanie and Peter go to Japan and Bali, but mostly we stay home! Let the Countdown Begin! This time next week…. September 26, 2011. The first thought that entered my head when I woke up this morning was. 8216;Oh, my God, why am I putting myself through this? I like to start every day with a talk with God, but today my mind flew straight to where I would be and what I would be doing next week, hence the question. I will be waking up in a stranger’s house. I will have to get ready for. That was 38 years ago.

Meanie and Peter go to Japan and Bali, but mostly we stay home! Day Crème brûlée – BUT WHO’S COUNTING? As Night Descends on Day Five… →. Dogs of Bali II. April 11, 2011. We are (sadly) about half way through Bali Escapade 2011. However, that will not be the focus of today’s blog! This slideshow requires JavaScript. When I look at the dogs of Bali, many proudly showing off their up-market collars, the evidence that Bali has changed is most clear. I remember also, open drains along the side of the road.
