Bereits in den 80er Jahren begann ich mit einer Canon AT-1 - einer analogen Spiegelreflexkamera ohne jede Automatik - auf erste Fotostreifzüge zu gehen. Simple Technik und relativ teures Filmmaterial sorgten dafür, dass man vor dem Druck auf den Auslöser genau überlegte, was Blende, Belichtungszeit, gewählter Filmausschnitt und das verwendete Filmmaterial aus dem Motiv machen werden. Die so gewonnenen Erfahrungen möchte ich heute nicht missen.

Seit 2009 wohne ich in Ronneburg, einer kleinen Gemeinde im östlichen Rhein-Main-Gebiet, unweit von Hanau. Ronneburg vereint ein absolut ländliches Umfeld mit dem von der Burg ausgestrahlten mittelalterlichen Flair und liegt zeitgleich verkehrsgünstig im Rhein-Main-Gebiet an den Autobahnen A 66 und A 45. Frankfurt, Hanau und der Rhein-Main Airport liegen somit verkerhrsgünstig erreichbar. Als stellvertretender Gemeindebrandinspektor engagiere ich mich ehrenamtlich bei der Ronneburger Feuerwehr.
