This has been in response to demand, both locally and elsewhere to set some of the material on the web site into hard copy. The booklet has been built upon the Timewarp material and expanded by anecdote and by photography. It is 32 pages in full colour and although finely focused on Moidart, many of its issues have universal application.

Eneas MacDonnel fulfilled a dream when he acquired the estate where he was born and, for a while lived the life of a Highland Laird. His life is retraced and his associations with Morar, where reminders of him can be seen today with his headstone in the Kilmory Churchyard proclaiming him to be Eneas Ranald MacDonell of Morar and his striking portrait in Highland Dress painted by Robert Herdman in the Mallaig Heritage Centre.

Moidart Produce Show | Moidart
Welcome to the Moidart Produce Show. This year’s show and will be held on 2nd September 2017 and opens to the public at 2pm. Entry is free (donations are always welcome). Entertainment includes the Sunart Bowmen, face painting for the children, welly wanging, mystery tombola, lucky dip, children's races, pets parade, and the 'famous' produce auction. On the evening of this year's show there will be a dinner dance to finish off the day and help celebrate the 70th Anniversary. With dinner at 8.00pm.

We are a non-profit community organisation: to help us run the Moidart History Group, maintain this website and operate our History House in Glenuig, we welcome donations. We've moved it to a far better position overlooking the bay at Glenuig. There's plenty of parking and the Glenuig Community Shop is right next door (with refreshments and free WiFi).
