Caterpillars and Cocoons: June 2013
http://caterpillarsandcocoons.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Ramblings of a dyer, spinner, weaver and silkworm fanatic. Saturday, 15 June 2013. Last Friday I had the pleasure of teaching two workshops at the Contemporary Craft Fair at Bovey Tracey. They are only two hours so one can't expect to achieve a lot but what a wonderful set of students! The first was 3D weaving - those amongst you who are weavers will understand that this is a concept that has limitless potential but I confined myself to two options. Willow branch in progress. The star of the show! Anna, ...

http://caterpillarsandcocoons.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Ramblings of a dyer, spinner, weaver and silkworm fanatic. Friday, 16 August 2013. It's been a busy few months, with a talk on silkworms for the London Guild, a Natural Dye Workshop for Tawe Guild and a week teaching Designer Spinning at the Association Summer School, held this year in Carmarthen. I am extremely proud of Ineke, Jane W, Joanna, Carolyn, Sue, Jane S, Helen, Carol, Christine and Hilary and I hope they are proud of themselves! Below are images of their work:. Caterpillars and Cocoons: May 2012
http://caterpillarsandcocoons.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Ramblings of a dyer, spinner, weaver and silkworm fanatic. Sunday, 6 May 2012. Silkworms, bananas and excitement! It seems that though my intention is always to update the blog at least once a week, that my default setting is once a month! Since my last post I have taught a workshop and rashly decided to put my faith in the Garcia vats - not taking with me a failsafe traditional Spectralite vat (when people are paying, they want a successful indigo vat! And we will be starting to run courses there in the...

Caterpillars and Cocoons: April 2012
http://caterpillarsandcocoons.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Ramblings of a dyer, spinner, weaver and silkworm fanatic. Tuesday, 3 April 2012. Quick organic indigo vats. Well, the banana vat pictures are finally downloaded, along with the henna vat that I made this afternoon. After blogging, I shall go and make the iron vat and hope to spend some merry hours doing some printing with it tomorrow. These are the mashed bananas with one of the skins to show how black they had become - I was surprised the bananas were still edible! The first dip in the vat, 10 minutes ...

Stirling Knits: As I Ramble
http://www.stirlingknits.com/2012/09/as-i-ramble.html
Sunday, September 16, 2012. I have been super busy lately, finishing up projects that may or may not have been languishing for a year or more. I've challenged myself to not cast on anything new until the yarn for Carson. Arrives, which should be any day now. I can't wait! So, to keep myself busy I've hauled a few projects out of hibernation. First up, Peak's Island Hood. No, it doesn't! Was a lovely 6 day knit, and a stashbuster too! All The Pins to block it, but it came out quite nicely, I think. Becaus...

One morning while driving home after taking my son to school, I accidentally discovered this amazing place! It’s actually located right in my town just down some random little road! I was curious and wanted to know where the road went so I took it….low and behold, The View! Which I love to do! Here lately I’ve really fallen in love with the infrared filter that...

business cards –
http://blog.redcricketdesign.com/tag/business-cards
Tag Archives: business cards. I’m really excited about my new business cards! They’re printed on Luxe stock from moo.com. The red seam through the edge of the paper really makes the red in my logo look even richer! I trimmed the cards to a perfect square so the shape complements the grid-based aesthetic on redcricketdesign.com. Squares are better than rectangles. I love that red seam! December 31, 2014.
