I Love Arnside and Silverdale. Monday, 9 March 2015. Great Grey Shrike re-appears on Hutton Roof etc. Click over sketch to enlarge. EASTER MONDAY 6th April 2015 - Dalton Crags and Hutton Roof ". The Last sighting of the Shrikes". I searched Uberash Roughs and the Common for Shrike 1 but just could not find him, he was being elusive. But did manage to locate Shrike No. 2 at approx 1500hrs until about 1630hrs. He was at various points from 100 yards to 300 yards SSE of the Trig Point. Beauties on the brink!

On way up to Burton Fell today, called off to area just below Pickles Wood and noticed my first sighting of the year of "Crosswort" (see photo below) with at least three large populations.
