The Scratching Pad: Snow!
http://www.thescratchingpad.com/2012/12/snow.html
Saturday, December 22, 2012. The photo says it all. It's a start right? Over by the Placid Lake they have lots more snow but they are about 700' higher than us here in the Adirondack Banana Belt. 50' can make a big difference out here. My brook looks nice in the frosty layer, yes? The cat's paws need to acclimate but already the wide toe-stance of the Wisconsin Snowcat breed is evident in the twacks. The Scratching Pad: The Meaning of Sadness
http://www.thescratchingpad.com/2013/09/the-meaning-of-sadness.html
Saturday, September 21, 2013. The Meaning of Sadness. Alex was my friend, my partner in crime - we occupied the kitchen table, roughhoused, ran and played. Together. I loved her with the Big Love and I miss her awfully bad. We were together for 7 years. My people have been lost and I have not been able to help them much. It is hard. They brought her furry part back from the vet and showed me so I would understand. I sniffed.she was once there but wasn't anymore. Saratoga woods and waterways. NSF summary:...

The Scratching Pad: August 2011
http://www.thescratchingpad.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 3, 2011. I'm talking orange birds. To wit:. Oom was away all last week, plus the two weekends, to hang with Ant Marge and then do stupid work stuff (which she says was fun). Besides paling around with serious, tough birds like the cool rough-legged hawk dude, on her special glove here, she went and got enamored of these two orange birdies you see above. I kid you not. I have a feeling Mango and Tango have an opinion about this. I wonder if I'll get to ask them in person? KTSH - the book.

The Scratching Pad: January 2013
http://www.thescratchingpad.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 19, 2013. I've been playing in the snow and going to the Jams, so haven't been blogging much. I'll be doing or thinking something outrageously cool and say to myself "I should blog this", and then something else outrageously cool comes up and I don't. Blog that is. But if you are local, you could just be hanging with me at the Recovery Lounge listening to January Jams. Dooods, January Jams? The very cool Upper Jay Arts Center every January Sunday from 2 to 6? Dooods, now you gotta go ba...

The Scratching Pad: Snow!
http://www.thescratchingpad.com/2012/12/snow_30.html
Sunday, December 30, 2012. As I predicted, we got a nice layer of snow after our return from The Big City! Here's what I saw on my morning walk. That's my brook with all those nice tall snow hats. Then, looking back at our house. And it snowed big up at the Pony's place too. He says he could live without it. Me, I'm loving it. Though the temps are awfully cold and my paws are not yet acclimated? Still nobody makes cat mukluks? Comments Sought On Changes to Fishing Regulations. Saratoga woods and waterways.

The Scratching Pad: January 2012
http://www.thescratchingpad.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 24, 2012. As a purebred Wisconsin Snowcat, I'm bummed. All the snow is gone, and the skies are grey. I went for a walk, and felt like I was in LA. I'd be frolicking in snow if it were an Adirondack winter day. A photo from better winter days. Readers, think snow now. Links to this post. Saturday, January 7, 2012. I love her. Seeing her struggle makes me very quiet and contemplative. I go often to my rock in my brook in the mornings. A cool dude cat once said:. Links to this post. Here...
