Brief History of Shelton, CT. Shelton, CT is a small town nestled in the Naugatuck Valley in Fairfield County, Connecticut. Here's a brief history of our town. Shelton had it's surge of growth during the Industrial Revolution of the 1800's, and when you come to visit you'll be amazed at how almost everything looks the same as it did at the turn of the century. The town is named after Edward N. Shelton born in 1812, who was the great grandson of Daniel Shelton, who was a settler here before the 1700's.

I had the grandbaby too. So I took the grandbaby in the stroller, and we walked around while they shopped. I went to the lower level, and was delighted to see they had a Playtown set up for toddlers, and also a train ride. Everything was made of a type of foam, so toddlers don't get hurt. Milford Mall is called the Westfield Mall, but everyone calls it the Connecticut Post Mall. It is now under some heavy duty construction. We don't go shopping here very often, usually just for special items. But our favorite thing to do is to get the Japanese Teriyaki Chicken in the Food Court. That stuff is soooo good.
