Whipsiderry Beach is a little known beach just round the corner from Porth Beach. It is out of town enough to be quieter than the rest of the beaches. Just head out of town towards Watergate Bay and Porth, follow your nose round past the Mermaid Inn and level with the first right hand turn half way up the next hill is Whipsiderry beach. Fistral is good for surfing and lazing in the sun and has plenty of amenities, including parking, toilets and places to shop and get food. Fistral Blu, the big development on the beach offers amazingly yummy cuisine in a swanky beach atmosphere, be sure to go there for a meal while you are in Newquay. Fistral beach is easy to get to and you can walk there or drive, there are rock pools and laods of space for the kids and place to rent surfboards, wetsuits and beach goodies. Enjoy Fistral Beach.

Lusty Glaze Beach is out of the way but still really popular, they have all sorts of interesting beach activites there throughout the summer, including coastering and zip lines, also absailing and rock climbing. This is a stunning little beach withing walking distance from Newquay. You may have to get someone to show you where this one is but if you can find the Glendorgal hotel it is right next to that. Crantock Beach – Newquay Beaches

Crantock Beach is a lovely family beach not far from Newquay that offers great surfing and somewhere gorgeous to chill out for the day. If you are based in Newquay you can walk to Crantock beach, as long as the tide is out. Just find the Fern Pit cafe and walk down the steps and across the river bed, you can also get a little ferry from the bottom when the tide is in. There are other crossing spots along the gannel, but be sure to check the tide times as you dont want to get cut off!

Tolcarne Beach i round the corner from Great Western and can be accessed via a concrete walk way or a massive set of steps. This is a gret beach for bodyboarding and unbathing alike and has some great amenitites on the beach including the Kahuna restaurant which serves some of the tastiest food in Newquay.
