Moving On In Astronomy. Live Meteors – 2D. Norman Lockyer Observatory,. Salcombe Hill Road,. Sidmouth, Devon, EX10 0NY, England. The Observatory is about 2 km east of Sidmouth and 0.5 km from the coast. It is on the north side of Salcombe Hill Road which runs between the town and Trow Farm, where it joins the east-west A3052. The NLO can also be approached from the east by the unclassified road (narrow in places, signed ‘Salcombe Regis 1’) which leaves the A3052 at Trow Farm. Enter the postcode EX10 0NY,.

Moving On In Astronomy. Live Meteors – 2D. The observatory does not have a card machine. Only cash or cheque, please. Admission to the observatory is from the published opening time. The complete programme commences 15 minutes later. Arrivals after programme commencement may miss some of the programme content. The programme is approximately 2 hours duration and will usually include a short talk, a planetarium presentation and visits to the historic telescopes and Lockyer Technology Centre.

It exists in part to further the members’ interests in astronomy, radio and science in general and to give them access to a number of telescopes, historic and modern, at the Observatory.
