I bought this for my niece who has grown beans and helped plant herbs and bulbs, and picked tomatoes – and, having recently moved into her new home, will soon have a garden to grow. It’s a handmade greeting card which when planted grows into a bunch of mixed herbs. The card is made from waste paper and embedded with seeds, and the design is printed with water-based ink. I had met two girls in the club on my first day there who, when they found out I also loved art, drew me some. An outsider or “alien”. I’m so happy to share this awesome news! The 80 mosquito nets that we raised funds for at my Birthday Benefit Concert have finally reached the kids at the Heart Spring Orphanage in Homa Bay, Kenya. Pastor Tom Muga from the orphanage sent me these pictures and said, “We cannot express the happiness and gratitude of the children.”. These mosquito nets will literally save lives.
