12th Dec 2016 - Foundation Day in High Heaton. Associates from High Heaton, Newcastle upon Tyne celebrated Foundation Day with Holy Mass in the chapel at High Heaton convent with Father Michael as the Celebrant. Sister Bernard then took us all for a celebration lunch at the Vermont Hotel in the city centre, where we enjoyed a magnificent Christmas Fare. 23rd Dec 2016 - Closing of the Holy Door at St. Mary’s Convent, Handsworth. A prayer service was held at St. Mary’s on 20. November 2016 to close the Holy Door and mark the end of the Year of Mercy. Father Gerry Kelly Parish of St. Francis Parish reminded the Congregation of the qualities of Mercy and the importance of continuing to show mercy and forgiveness in our lives. All present processed through the Holy Door before Father Gerry blessed and closed it. Gathering for the Closing for the Holy Door.
