I woke up 4.20 AM after a good night's sleep. I was looking forward to this exciting day. First leg of the journey was by train from Aarhus. The weather was beautiful and the Danish country side had a real show off. Due to a huge volcanic ash cloud over Europe all flights had been cancelled. Time has come for an update on my flying situation. As of now I have around 5 of the 12 hours I need to get my license renewed. I've been flying most of the 5 hours during my night qualification course. Due to the late summer nights me and my insructor earlier this year decided to postpone the rest of the course until Autumn. 80 hours and new education. All worries have now vanished. Friday the 23th of September I got an automatic renewal of my SEP (Single Engine Piston) rating as I managed to fly my 12th hour (where at least 6 of them have been as PIC - Pilot In Command) before the 30th of september.
