Weight Checks
http://taranaki-vets.co.nz/Services/SmallAnimalServices/WeightChecks/tabid/22607/Default.aspx
Our clinics offer a free weight check service if you think that your dog is underweight or overweight. Our veterinarians and veterinary nurses can give advice to help with any weight problems that your animal may have. If it is a simple problem of exercise or incorrect diet, the problem could be solved by the nurse on the day, or after working out a dietary plan. If it is a more serious problem associated with an underlying disease, it may be necessary to see a vet on a separate visit.

Desexing
http://taranaki-vets.co.nz/Services/SmallAnimalServices/Desexing/tabid/22615/Default.aspx
Desexing is a routine operation performed by the veterinarian to remove your pet's sex organs. Desexing can help calm your pet's behaviour and may even contribute to a longer life. If you choose not to spay your female dog, when she is in season you will need to keep her confined (approx 3 weeks). An unspayed pet has an increased risk of uterine infection, mammary tumors and other health problems. They may also display unusual behaviour and wanderlust during their heat cycle.
