Andrew Young XC Skier: September 2014
http://ayoungxcskier.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Andrew Young XC Skier. Just some quick updates from my travels and adventures as a cross country skier. Monday, 22 September 2014. I spent last week on a training camp with Team Synnfjell. The week before my parents came over for a few days to visit me and have a holiday. The weather was pretty good for this time of year. It was pretty much summer. So we made the most of it and had a good long weekend. I was however quite disappointed to be beaten by my dad in a round of crazy golf. I'll have a few easy ...

Andrew Young XC Skier: February 2015

Andrew Young XC Skier. Just some quick updates from my travels and adventures as a cross country skier. Tuesday, 24 February 2015. I had time to go through the race with coaches and look at some video of the race. I skied technically well and skied to my game plan. But I was just missing a bit of energy. That extra spark. The margins are pretty small in sprint races and I can't afford to off my game if I want to be top 30 and make the heats. Links to this post. Sunday, 15 February 2015. The conditions ba...

Andrew Young XC Skier. Just some quick updates from my travels and adventures as a cross country skier. Monday, 23 June 2014. The first section in the trees passed quite quickly, and the last part of the session felt like I was being fried by the sun with pretty much no shade on offer. On the 4. We did a lot of film work to help with this. I reviewed the film with our coaches and with Gjøran so we could help each other and see what each other does well and if there is something new we can incorporate...

Andrew Young XC Skier: March 2015
http://ayoungxcskier.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Andrew Young XC Skier. Just some quick updates from my travels and adventures as a cross country skier. Tuesday, 17 March 2015. Getting ready for a 50k. You'll notice on the map that I did take a wrong turn once, but the big out and back section was planned so I'd get to go all the way up Midtfjell from Kvarstad. After the relay birken I'll ease my training back and focus on recovery and hopefully I'll be in top form for the 50k at nationals. Links to this post. Friday, 6 March 2015. Links to this post.

Andrew Young XC Skier: April 2015
http://ayoungxcskier.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Andrew Young XC Skier. Just some quick updates from my travels and adventures as a cross country skier. Tuesday, 28 April 2015. My apologies for not posting a blog in such a long time. Here is some of what I've been up to. It was a fun event and it was even beter when we managed to win and show off our sponsors name a little bit. With that it brought the season to a close. In all honesty I'm rather disappointed with this season. I had 2 good races around Christmas time, with a 20th place in Davos...Huntl...

Andrew Young XC Skier. Just some quick updates from my travels and adventures as a cross country skier. Sunday, 16 February 2014. I haven't updated in a while. A lot has happened so I will try to briefly update you with what has been happening. The next day was the 15k classic. I decided not to race. My shape or form simply was not good enough that I would do my self any justice by racing. For the first few days we had to design some sort of pole strap that didn't press on the bruising. Kv helped out...

Andrew Young XC Skier. Just some quick updates from my travels and adventures as a cross country skier. Saturday, 17 January 2015. I ended up with a pretty full on flu and spent Tuesday and Wednesday in bed. Since then I've been recovering slowly and I hope to be able to train again tomorrow. But it is probably not going to be before Tuesday next week that I'm back to "normal". World Cups and Overall Tour standings. 18 Sochi, SK sprint 2013 (Andrew Musgrave). 20 Davos SK sprint 2014 (Andrew Young). My ne...

Andrew Young XC Skier. Just some quick updates from my travels and adventures as a cross country skier. Saturday, 25 January 2014. I raced the Norwegian nationals in “Molde”… the race had been moved to Lillehammer due to lack of snow in Molde but all the start numbers and results and stuff were printed with Molde. The races went ok for me… I had a night mare in the 15k classic. But the sprint went ok finishing in 16. Position 48 seconds the leader. Sigurd skied a good leg, handing over to Remi in 32.
