Underwater mysteries | Independent Scuba
http://www.independentscuba.com/2009/08/underwater-mysteries
For anyone who like me watched Indiana Jones in their young years it is hard not to be fascinated with stories of people finding ancient structure underwater such as the ones in Younaguni in Okinawa. There are tons of web sites about this and they are often more or less fantastic. I came across Morien Institute. Which has a pretty descent news flow about underwater discoveries. Remember to scroll down since there is a bit of the usual Atlantis talk on the top of the page. Feed You can leave a response.

P29 revisited | Independent Scuba
http://www.independentscuba.com/2010/07/p29-revisited
After a relatively long period of inactivity I finally got some dives done this weekend and one of the sites was P29. Which is one of the latest additions to Maltas wreck diving repertoire. Since I have not dived this dive for well over 2 years it was quite interesting and quite a lot has changed. A nice permanent buoy has been installed next to the wreck which makes it relatively easy to surface swim out to the wreck and simple descend straight on to it if you are unsure about the navigation. Diver Dire...

Hellespont | Independent Scuba
http://www.independentscuba.com/2009/02/hellespont
Hellespont is a relatively recently discovered wreck off the Grand Harbour - she was discovered in 1999 and this is one of my favourite dives. She is a victim of the intense bombings of Malta during WW2 but the ship is considerably older than that. She is in fact the only paddle steamer I have ever dived on and this makes her very special. This dive gets 5 stars in my book. The main contributing factors are the history, the details and the moray eels! Feed You can leave a response. From your own site.

As some of yo may have noticed the updates are not as regular as they have been. This is due to some changes in my professional life which makes it hard to have enough time to keep up writing. I will keep adding updates on a slightly irregular basis to please be patient! This entry was posted on Sunday, October 25th, 2009 and is filed under Thoughts and News. Review – PADI Open Water Diver | Independent Scuba
http://www.independentscuba.com/2009/03/review-padi-open-water-diver
Review – PADI Open Water Diver. One of the things I would like to provide here at Independent Scuba is some sort of review of different Scuba Diving courses. For a beginner it is not obvious what a course contains and I also think that while many scuba diving courses are very good there are also plenty of examples of the opposite. The Open Water Dives. While this may be ok from a standards point of view it certainly does not help the students much. I think that a total bottom time for all Open Water ...

GUE Recreational Diver 1 | Independent Scuba

GUE Recreational Diver 1. Dive training is an interesting subject and many people have very strong opinions about this. Which organisation is the best one? Are CMAS divers better than PADI divers? Are divers trained in Thailand worse than those to learnt to dive in ice cold waters in Scandinavia? Course standards can be found here.
