Secret Dalmatia – Croatia Travel Experiences. Travel in Croatia, historic and cultural heritage. I get to cross a lot of territory when traveling. It still amazes me how there are still so many beautiful places to see and things to discover in this little country of ours. Yesterday, I was doing an inspection in Tugare: a tiny village in the hillside of Omiš best known for. Overlooking Srednja Poljica and peaks of Očur in the distance. Also known as a cromlech. Is a type of single-chamber megalithic tomb.

Just like most smaller places of North Dalmatia and most of small villages that are not close to main centers. In a way it is the blessing and a curse at the same time: more and more people are leaving as there are no jobs but the places remain relatively intact. In 1991, Vinjerac had only 273 inhabitants. I was just getting ready to "pooper scoop" tonight - I picked up the scoops and - OUCH - I got stung, by a yellow jacket, which was lurking on the handle. As my epi-pen was out of date I headed off to Urgent care - nobody else was there, so I got seen immediately, they were impressed with the reaction from the sting, just 10 minutes after the injury! Maastricht is very close to Hoge Kempen, a large National Park in Belgium with tons of hiking and bike trails. A few weeks ago we drove to Maasmechelen and had our first hike with Flora as a family.
