Fleecy Knits: November 2006
http://fleecyknits.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html
Fleecy knits and sheepish grins :-). Monday, November 06, 2006. Stitches East Comes to Baltimore. Since Stitches was practically in my own backyard I decided to check it out. It wasn’t as big as the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival. But I still managed to find some things to buy. The highlight for me was definitely Blue Moon Fiber Arts. I headed there first thing Friday morning and was rewarded by riches beyond measure. There were none of the screaming, pushing hordes from. Here’s the sock yarn:. But by ...

Fleecy Knits: May 2007
http://fleecyknits.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html
Fleecy knits and sheepish grins :-). Tuesday, May 08, 2007. 8230; also known as the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival. I laughed, I cried, I shopped. In other words, a perfect weekend. It was crowded like always, but not so badly that I felt like I was going to have a panic attack in the main exhibition building (like the last two years.) Maybe I’m just getting used to it. I met up with my friends, including Cindy. And many other wonderful people who don’t happen to have blogs. (yet).

I put up this page to show-off my new Renaissance Shawl! The pattern is from Not Just Plain Jane Knits. And I knit the shawl in “Soft Touch Ultra 100% Wool Fingering” from Shelridge Farm. The color is “Clover Flower.”. I've mentioned this shawl on the Knitted-Lace list. Click on thumbnails of details to bring up larger photos in another window. Close that window to return here. BHK Cooperative, a collaboration between independent designers Elinor Brown. Would not have been possible without the help of many people. We would like to thank Alisha Goes Around. And The Woolen Rabbit. For generously donating their beautiful yarns for the designs in this collection. Many thanks to Caro Sheridan. For her humor, patience, friendship, and keen talent. In less than ideal circumstances, she was able to capture the spirit of The Charles Collection. In her exceptional photographs. Our photos...

Coffee and Cables: May 2006
http://coffeeandcables.blogspot.com/2006_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, May 24, 2006. No, of course they're not done. Still no socks. As I'm getting ready to start the 2x2 ribbing, the needle PULLED OUT of the cable! I was annoyed with those needles anyway. The joins caught every single stitch. Yuck. And today I was busy. Plus there's something strange going on with my eye, so I'm probably just going to bed tonight instead of trying to get anything done. Socks washed, blocked, and dried by Friday, I hope. Monday, May 22, 2006. Friday, May 19, 2006. I did, however,...

Knitty Knitty Bang Bang. Bear with me while I babble about my adventures in knitting. Sunday, January 02, 2011. Yarn That is Just Too Pretty To Use. I have been reading a discussion about using up yarn that you have that is your holy grail. Every knitter has some of this yarn. It's sitting there waiting for the "perfect" project. I am determined to knit some of my precious yarn. You want to see it? Because, honestly, it's so pretty and I couldn't limit it to a couple because I have a bunch of it. So I bo...
