Smiths in Africa

Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. April 16, 2015. Our family just returned from two weeks in Ethiopia. The first week we took 11 RVA juniors to help with a session of camp at Langano. It was incredible! The students were totally engaged and completely poured themselves out. The missionaries and staff at Camp Langano were so encouraged by them – and we were so proud to bring such a great team to serve there. They really represented RVA well! Skip to primary content. September 24, 2014. While you are gearing up for some cooler weather, we are looking forward to our bones (hopefully) warming up again! It’s hard to imagine that we are cold here in Africa, but it does get REALLY chilly here during rainy season! We try to ration out how much we use our fireplace (don’t want to destroy the forest), but most nights we are wishing we had a fire going. It was hard to believe how much Langano has changed in just over a year! Everyone was inviting us t...

Merry Christmas | Smiths in Africa

http://smithsinafrica.com/merry-christmas

Skip to primary content. December 15, 2014. Merry Christmas from a very rainy Kijabe, Kenya! We hope you have all had a great year full of joy and knowing God more deeply. As we reflected on this year, we tried to come up with a general theme that we feel God has been weaving into our family… and we can’t figure it out! Maybe this year could be categorized as “tossed salad”. It sometimes feels like we have two different lives going on here in Kenya…. You can see how our year might be difficult to sum up!
