Spinning a Yarn: Renovation :: Studio Space
http://spinningayarnblog.blogspot.com/2012/09/renovation-studio-space.html
Thursday, 20 September 2012. Renovation : Studio Space. I have a few more renovation pictures to share, of the house in Auckland. This space has been a good record of all the work we put into our first home, and I'd like it to be complete. This is Muriel, who you first met here. Muriel came with the 'games room' which I turned studio. Those who know me or visited my studio, know this was a 'creative space' which is a polite euphemism for hellishly messy most of the time. We have a date this week! I love ...

Spinning a Yarn: Little Lady Knits
http://spinningayarnblog.blogspot.com/2013/05/little-lady-knits.html
Friday, 10 May 2013. I've been spending some time on Ravelry lately looking at all the lovely patterns there are for little lasses and lads. We haven't found out what flavour the baby is, so I've (mostly) been making gender neutral knits in gender neutral colours since we found out we were pregnant. Here are a few of my (current) favourites for little girls. I've actually knit this one! Pattern available in baby and toddler sizes- look for the e-book with both patterns in it. 6 months to 10 years sizes).

Spinning a Yarn: Little Man Knits
http://spinningayarnblog.blogspot.com/2013/05/little-man-knits.html
Sunday, 12 May 2013. I don't find it as easy to find interesting knitting patterns for boys as I do for girls. But these ones make me want to cast on NOW! Never mind all the other projects on the go! Of course, these would all be adorable on little girls too, but I think they work especially well for boys. I think this would be lovely with a hood too. Lots of these designers have published other funky patterns too, so be sure to click through and have a look at their other designs. 13 May 2013 at 10:03 AM.
The beauty of morning | Kiwiyarns Knits

Anna Gratton Ltd. – Little Wool Co. Yarnie road trip info. A blog about New Zealand yarns, knitting and life. The beauty of morning. August 7, 2015. There is something quite magical about the light in the Wairarapa. It must be the plane of the earth in this part of New Zealand. I don’t think I have ever experienced so many pretty sunrises as I have here. It makes getting up early quite exciting! They are not very good photos. Too grainy, but they captured the light perfectly. 9 thoughts on “ The be...
Sockstration | Kiwiyarns Knits

Anna Gratton Ltd. – Little Wool Co. Yarnie road trip info. A blog about New Zealand yarns, knitting and life. August 8, 2015. I am less than pleased with the first complete Twisted Flower. It just doesn’t ‘have it’. It even makes my foot look fat in contrast to the socks I am wearing today ( Mimer. Now there’s a new one, huh? Instead of “does this make my arse look fat”, a knitter will say “does this make my foot look fat? I LOVE that shade! I have enjoyed knitting it so much that the second sock is almo...
Alpaca yarn | Kiwiyarns Knits

Anna Gratton Ltd. – Little Wool Co. Yarnie road trip info. A blog about New Zealand yarns, knitting and life. Some of the 22 natural shades of alpaca. Alpaca. An extremely pleasurable alternative to knitting with wool. In fine grades, its softness rivals merino. It has extremely effective thermal qualities. Not surprising given the alpaca’s natural habitat is up in the snowy Andean mountains! 8211; New Zealand’s newest yarn brand, this company specialises (so far) in yarns with a heavy alpaca compo...
Sustain the Sea | Kiwiyarns Knits
https://kiwiyarns.wordpress.com/sustain-the-sea
Anna Gratton Ltd. – Little Wool Co. Yarnie road trip info. A blog about New Zealand yarns, knitting and life. In October 2013, I became aware of the critical condition that the world’s seas are in. I decided that I needed to do something as an individual to help to raise awareness of the situation, and indeed, to give back, to Sustain the Sea. As a blogger with a small, but reasonable platform of like-minded readers, I decided that this would be a good place to start. The Ocean is Broken. Stunning. T...

Hey DJ - Spin That Wheel ....
Hey DJ - Spin That Wheel . My favorite sage once told me "better look out" else you won't "see" :-) This is a wanderer's wanderlust! An attempt to navigate through the omnipresent urban blindness, albeit without any kind compass, and yet, inadvertently and magically, stumble upon the ever elusive truth. Spinning a Yarn
Spinning and knitting projects in process. Monday, February 11, 2008. I've been thinking about using a new name for my blog for a while and I finally did it. In the future, please view my ramblings at Wool and Bull. See you over there! The Camera is Back! HOWEVER, DH said we might as well have the old one repaired to use as a back up camera and it arrived a few minutes ago by FedEx all repaired and servicable, if not exciting. Last, but certainly not least, I wanted to show you the beautiful gift my frie...
