Experimental Graphic Design – BEAM, a wooden book
http://thebookdesignblog.com/everything-else/beam-poem
I love getting submissions that are a little out of the ordinary, and this piece is a great example. Created by Belgian design studio. Check out some of their previous features, a transparent catalogue. And a book without ink. This piece is a poem entitled BEAM (in Dutch, “BALK”) laser etched onto abachi wood and bound in leather. The result is a book-like construction, consisting of only two leaves, that also double as the front and back boards of the “book”. What do you think? What do you think?
