Wednesday, January 23, 2008. Progress Report / Color Scheme Ideas. The frame and bed have arrived. The frame is from an old Suburban. It was just recently sand-blasted, so all that's left is to remove the extension rails, clean off the surface rust and shoot it with black Rustoleum. The bed needs some work, but it's far and away better than the one it's replacing. Sea Foam Green / White. Lake Placid Blue / White. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Tuesday, February 12, 2008. Progress Report / New Parts. I just made some real progress on my list of parts needed to complete my truck. I got a complete front end w/ disc brakes, power brake booster, power steering pump, and steering box. I'm hoping to have a 3.73:1 posi rear end soon to complete the rolling chassis. The next few weeks will be spent cleaning, prep'ing, and painting parts. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Join the '60-'66 Chevy Truck Owners Forum. To take a test drive. LMC Classic Truck Parts.

Saturday, November 1, 2008. New Old Parts and New Prospects. Some time ago, I was able to get the rear-end out of the same truck that supplied my front end. That way the bolt pattern stays the same. It's a 12 bolt heavy duty 3.73:1. It should really help out my highway speed and mileage. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Join the '60-'66 Chevy Truck Owners Forum. How to make s cool truck! But soon the limitations of a clunky full-size cab set in, and Michael wanted something smaller that looked better too. So he found a 1984 S-10 for $150 the owner no longer wanted having blown up the 4 cyl. A few weekends of work and the S-10 cab was on the Blazer frame after making new cab mounts, radiator supports and tweaking the steering shaft. The finished NP-200 transfer case cradle. A 1953 GMC Panel Delivery gets new life from two unintended kindred spirits. It started with a really nice 1953 GMC panel truck that we purchased to take us to shows and events for demonstration of the thermal dynamics of automotive insulation. We learned quickly that what we really had was a 30 MPH in-town driver that needed a complete refresh from the ground up. Here is the story of our 13 month effort to update this vehicle with the help of some major sponsors. Click on logo to visit company website).
