Tanker rundt global helse, friluftsliv, hverdag og annet. SUP – notat fra en relativt nyfrelst. Legg igjen en kommentar. Jeg har blitt bitt av basillen! I noe som kan regnes som sport, og jeg mener det fortjener et lite kryss i taket. Jeg har blitt en SUPer. Stående padlebrett ble en del av mitt vokabular for litt over ett år siden. Jeg ble introdusert til denne fantastiske sporten av en veldig engasjert og ivrig beiler, som nå er min kommende ektemann (dæven,det er det rart å skrive! Min kjære i aksjon.

Sometimes help is very welcome. Three weeks ago I woke up with my shoulder in agony, I could not even raise my hand above my shoulder without intense pain. With a season of paddling to tackle soon, it was a pretty pickle indeed. I had over-trained and had suffered a bad strain. Before my session I was dejected and certain I would have to at least delay the seasons’s start. Afterwards, I was pain free, had full mobility and a great attitude. I was truly amazed! Now, after 2 more sessions I’m 100%.

Can’t say what just yet but in the mean-time, check this out! SUP Norway’s good friends at WESUP. And It’s founder Sean White have launched WESUP sanctuary. Winter paddle – SUP Norway

Quite and calming, lone winter paddle, It’s good out here. Tibeten monks say that wide open spaces are needed to commune with nature and the sea is a waterman’s Himalayan equivalent. First winter paddle after a second ear op. Feels good to loosen up with a few Km to an island off the coast. Think I’ll do a weekend trip soon, test new gear. Beautiful sunset. Ice sticks my feet to the deck. A lonely seal pops up to say hello. It’s been too long, but it’s going to be an amazing year. Februar 7th, 2015.
