Landscapes and Gardening in the Far North. It’s Winter… Time to Breathe (and Plan) in the North. November 7, 2014. January 14, 2015. I was born and grew up in Southern California. Folks who’ve spent years in snowy, cold climates love the idea of living in the warm, sunny South, and many Alaskans vacation “downstates”. http://kansascottagegarden.blogspot.com/2008/07/for-love-of-zinnias.html
Tuesday, July 22, 2008. For the love of Zinnias. I would really love to get a better picture of my zinnia bed later, but that just probably won't happen, and I know it! Jeff starting repairing the roof last week, and worked and worked all weekend. His Dad and brother came to help, so my job was to make pitcher after pitcher of iced tea and fill their cups. Abby's birthday was Saturday and I feel really bad that I haven't posted a picture like I did everyone else. I have tomatoes to can! I was given three...

Pathway Horticulture and Science: April 2010
http://pathwayhorticulture.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Pathway Horticulture and Science. Monday, April 26, 2010. Saturday I returned from leading a crew of comcast volunteers into the school's veggie garden, and ventured into my own backyard. I weeded, appreciated the return of perennials, cut of dead flower stems from last year and pondered a certain plant. Later in the day, I showed the new blooms and the mystery plant to my wife. We decided it was a weed. Being foolish I examined it a bit. Later, I would be glad I didn't taste it. Friday, April 23, 2010.
