O The palate has a soft ripe full fruit driven entry which compliments the nose with a depth and length. The blackcurrant and blueberries are forward on the palate with a long lingering middle palate with its own dark fruit. O 90 points at Decanter World Wine Awards 2016. O 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 43% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Franc.

Winemaking consultant Mark has over 30 year’s experience in winemaking in South Africa, as well as the USA and Europe. 2015 will mark his 12th vintage at The High Road. Mark enrolled at Stellenbosch University in nature conservation, but switched to winemaking at Elsenburg when he noticed the winemaking students were having much more fun!
